Quantum correlations with spacelike separated beam splitters in motion: experimental test of multisimultaneity.

چکیده
Multisimultaneity is a causal model of relativistic quantum physics which assigns a real time ordering to any set of events, much in the spirit of the pilot-wave picture. Contrary to standard quantum mechanics, it predicts a disappearance of the correlations in a Bell-type experiment when both analyzers are in relative motion such that each one, in its own inertial reference frame, is first to select the output of the photons. We tested this prediction using acousto-optic modulators as moving beam splitters and interferometers separated by 55 m. We did not observe any disappearance of the correlations, in agreement with quantum mechanics.

Does the quantum collapse make sense? Quantum Mechanics vs Multisimultaneity in interferometer-series experiments
It is argued that the three assumptions of quantum collapse, ‘one photonone count’, and relativity of simultaneity cannot hold together: nonlocal correlations may depend on the referential frames of the beam-splitters but not of the detectors. New experiments using interferometers in series are proposed which make it possible to test Quantum Mechanics vs Multisimultaneity.
متن کاملPreferred Frame versus Multisimultaneity: meaning and relevance of a forthcoming experiment
It is argued that: 1) Quantum Mechanics implies the preferred frame also because of the collapse delayed at detection, 2) forthcoming experiments with moving beam-splitters will allow us to decide between Preferred Frame and Multisimultaneity, and 3) if Preferred Frame prevails, superluminal communication is in principle possible.

An alternative description imbedding nonlocality in a relativistic chronology is proposed. متن کاملSpatial multimode entanglement within one laser beam
Optical entanglement is a key requirement for many quantum communication protocols. Conventionally entanglement is formed between two distinct beams, with the quantum correlations being measured at separate locations. We show entanglement between the modes within one beam. Our technique is particularly elegant and a major advance towards practical systems with minimum complexity. We demonstrate...
متن کاملDynamical spin-blockade in a quantum dot with paramagnetic leads
– We investigate current fluctuations in a three-terminal quantum dot in the sequential tunneling regime. Dynamical spin-blockade can be induced when the spin-degeneracy of the dot states is lifted by a magnetic field. This results in super-Poissonian shot noise and positive zero-frequency cross-correlations. Our proposed setup can be realized with semiconductor quantum dots. Introduction. – No...
